About

Walter "Peanut" Williams started our company in 1949. As time goes, it does not seem possible that 2020 marked our 71st year serving Eaton County and Mid-Michigan. We fully recognize that our existence relies on very few basic necessities.

Over the years we have learned that if you have a good customer following and a good group of people working with you, most other issues will take care of themselves. We have been fortunate enough to have both.

The relationship developed over the years with, our customers, has meant more than you know. As we move forward toward our 100th year, we would like to invite you to send us any old photos you may have showing you or your family with equipment we may have sold (or not). These photos, along with the story behind them, can be found in WHM History Project.

The photo to the right is of previous owner, Bob Simons, wife, Helen and daughters, Cathy, Diann and Rita. To the best of our knowledge , the photo was taken in 1959 when Bob worked for the Pewamo Hardware Company. We believe the combine that is loaded on the truck is an Allis-Chalmers model SP100. If you could reach back in your archives to see what you could share, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and looking forward to the next 71 years!

Frequently Asked Questions

No, for security reasons we close and lock our gates at the end of our business hours. We are not responsible for customer's equipment stolen from our property and do not want to put your equipment at risk.

Yes, we have various lending institutions we work in addition to our suppliers. Our major manufactures often offer finance terms as low as 0% APR.

Trade-ins are a normal part of our sales operation. Once it is determined you have a trade for your new purchase, your salesman will make arrangements with you to see your equipment and determine its trade value.

We take a lot of pride in our ability to service what we sell. This is unlike the mass merchants and "Big Box Stores". We provide warranty parts and service each of the brands we sell.

With two Stihl Gold technicians in our service department, we can repair most any chainsaw. Unfortunately, we have found parts for most competitive saws to be very difficult and time consuming to find. While we would like to help, we can only affordably repair the Stihl brand of chainsaws.

We have a complete fleet of vehicles designed to safely transport your equipment for repair. Simply contact our Agricultural or Lawn and Garden service departments. Badge or Dave will be happy to make the arrangements with you.
